4 days ago i decided to reactivate my account and my god i had forgotten how complex this game was
Some of the old members might remember me, it has been almost 5 years ago that i left the game to take care of my GF.
Small recap :
5 years ago my gf got breastcancer, amputation of the breast / chemo and radiation made me decided i could not combine raiding and taking care for her so i decided to stop playing EQ in a heartbeat. All went well and she made a good recovery (still waiting to be declared cured*).
But my own health decided to play a trick on me and 3 years ago i had a heart atk, it took me almost 2 years to make a half decent recovery.
So while browsing around a bit i noticed the everquest going f2p , having played all kinds of crap in the meanwhile (including wow) i decided to reactivate my account and have a look in preparation of the switch.
Playing on a fresh alt, basicly hiding to learn the game again i was doing the lowbie begs for buffs in pok routine when i noticed the evil looking druid with the d'pikey tag.
Buffs np - short chat about the pikey's - and something that gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
After all those years people still reminded me and where wishing my gf the best, she was almost crying when i told her.
Who knows maybe someday i'll catch up again and i'll be knocking on the doors of the guildhall, but in the meanwhile one thing is sure for me.
For me and my gf (who never was a member for that mater) D'Pikey is the guild that makes EQ the best game in the world, i am glad to see that even after all those years Purrfection has kept this great group together.
In the meanwhile i'll be exploring the game again, but for those that never met me remeber this.
I'm not evil, just misunderstood.
