AB Server move at March 10th

Post by HSishi »

Morning all.

Source: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/ind ... st-3877030
Antonius Bayle will be taken offline at 8 PM PT on March 10, 2020 (5 AM GMT) for extended hardware maintenance. Downtime is expected to last about 18 hours and will include the monthly patch.

The reason for this (long) maintenance is in support of relocating our Amsterdam data center to a new, more powerful and more efficient facility. We apologize for the inconvenience, but definitely believe it to be worth it.
I doubt the new location will still be in Europe where they don't have direct hardware access, need additional staff / outsourced support and such.

*Edit* This also affects the EQ2 server "Thurgadin" and the DCUO server(s) located in Amsterdam. There are similar posts (with slighty different downtimes) in the related forums. */edit*

*Edit 2 & 3* Translated to European time (with Pacific Time DST on): Downtime starts March 11th, 4:00 AM German time and is expected to end at 10:00 PM same day. */edit 2 & 3*

Do they already have DST on maybe? I know their time to turn that on is different.

Also, I just cited and converted the PST time which is 9 hours behind german time. They are wrong with GMT conversion.

Times are 2 hours out their clocks change this weekend and they changed it the wrong way, they will as of Sunday only be 7 hours behind us.

Pacific Time is normally 9 hours behind Central European Time, except when the DST changes differ. So if they go forward next night they are only 8 hours behind.

Ok, I'll edit my initial post.
