new raids?

Re: new raids?
I would love to, but am not currently hopeful that we will get the numbers to make a dent in the TBM raids.
If I have some certainty that enough people want to do it then yes we can do them again. I miss them, they were fun for different reasons, but also frustrating when we don't get numbers to do what we want to do.

Re: new raids?
maybe have a chat with other guilds raidleader/officers and hear what their off days are (thinking thursdays), and tell them to tell their members about it.
instead of just announcing it 1 hour before we try, so people will know when to be on.

Re: new raids?
The problem wasn't the announcing.
When we did the open raids, they were scheduled - everyone could plan for the next week, if he missed last week's.
As i see it, the problem has two sides:
1) not enough of a coherent core.
You need not only a certain number but also a certain level of gear to do some things.
2) raids the need some learning.
How to properly respond to emotes+situations.
I got the impression, that wipes (and these can happen quickly if only a few "mess up") discourage people too easily.
There are only a few "assign one tank and 5clerics and win" events anymore.
Open raids always have the challenge that the force of a day isn't "used" to one another.
Mitigated to some extent if the force consists of raiders, who seem more used to adjust to "unknowns" and know the event already.
Now, one can react in two ways to that challenge:
1) reduce the difficulty by going back several expansions as Asma does, at the cost of "worthwhile" loot.
2) aim for "worthwhile loot" and set a minimum in terms of number/levels/equip, at the risk of raids not happening to shortages.
I do not envy the RL to make that decision - it can only be wrong, depending on what the individual's expectations are.

Re: new raids?
Aren't there a few items from old expansions that are still useful? Could be a compromise?
