We've never guaranteed that characters, or anything deleted, can be restored. While we will run the necessary commands, sometimes deleted things are gone for good.

If you decide to cancel over this, we understand.

Ok, thy for rebanning my Accounts. Great..
But plz tell me reason why you cant bring back my Bard?

I payed since 2004 for this Account and gave you mucho money.. This Bard is the reason i played EQ so long. Without it, i think i had to cancel all billings.

I really need my Bard he is my heart.. tell me plz there is a chance to get it back..


Or give me something i can use

We apologize for the inadvertent ban, it was a mistake and has been released.

However, we are still not able to restore the character that was transferred and then deleted.

One friend of me.. a kind of German GM told me, it could be they had Problems to duplicate Items that were sold on Firiona Vie Baz..

Remdag (senior GM) told me, they cant bring back old Bard. For this i cant say yes or no..

But i asked him: Hey can you rise up my new lvl 3 Bard Kjarthan to the stats like old Bard? it could be nacked thats ok.. but lvl and aas would be nice.

The short answer. No we will not do it..

But i payed 10 years to play witj all options.

I think i will discuss in some foren then what you doing with people who payed many money ..thats realls not acceptable.

No factory can live with things you doing.

And again i cant accept that you bring no help for me..

There is no one else to talk to I am afraid, I am the last step for EQ GMs.

And actually, EQ is F2P. No subscription or purchases are required.

Actually its not our job to make sure your account is safe. We don't even see the password, nor can we even set it to something specific you want, you have to do that. Nor can we control or know who has the password.

It was definitivly not m fault that my account was hacked and my 10 years old Bard was delated from some1.

Ist your job to make the account save for hacking.. and i think you/soe did not your Job.
And now i am the idiot who cant play.

There is nothing really nothing from you to help me with this problem. why the hell you doing this? Or why wont you do some things to help me???

You take over 10 years my money. And when i really need yoru help. You smile in my face and say its your fault that your bard was delated. And we wont help you.

Ok i can belive when you tell you cant recover it.

But i wont and cant accept that you wont help me to clear the hack who is mot my fault.

You really know the 2 accounts are mine and you know that i was the owner of the Bard and you know his stats and quests and so on..

Yeah that's true, we are often able to restore characters, but it is case by case and some are not able to be restored sometimes either.

Unfortunately in those cases we do not provide another character to the player.

Account security is the responsibility of the account owner. We do not reverse actions taken on an account if it was "hacked" other than perhaps restore access to the account.

This makes me really sad. Sony giving lessons about security and not being hacked is laughable. Also, since they say your character can't be restored, even partially, that means they have no backup whatsoever ... seriously ?

According to what they say, it would take only 10 to 20 seconds to permanently delete a character, with no way of rolling back : from character selection screen, click the Delete Character button, recreate a character with same name ... and voila, the character has magically disappeared, as well as all the (existing ?) backups. That's something anyone could easily do while at someone else's home, or at a gamers meeting, as long as both play EQ. And that works just as well with a level 1 free to play character or a level 105, 10-year old, gold account, fully-raid geared one. That shows major flaws in the way their game is designed. Should I recall the very purpose of the game is about playing a character for years, making friends and memories all the way along, and any jerk could permanently end that in 20 seconds ?

Also, the CS answer you reported along the lines of "We understand if you stop playing EQ after your misadventure" is sickening. That has to be by far the WORST answer you could expect from a Customer Service. Actually, this is the exact contrary of what Customer Service is.

It seems the CS and GM are really stubborn about not being able to do anything to help you. So, the worst thing that could ever happened to a customer just happened : he got hacked, his character got basically kidnapped (transfered), raped (naked) and murdered (deleted), and the ONLY people able to help say they just can't do anything ? How desperate is that ... How disturbing too.

Some people said you should talk about this on social networks since SoE hates bad publicity. I'm not sure where, since EQ isn't exactly the most popular game nowadays. Posting on the SoE forums would have some (limited) impact, also they could easily close the thread or even ban more people. They just don't even seem to understand that it's only a game, with real people, real friendships, and going by the GM-book is not always the right thing to do, especially in this holday time.

Maybe there's something we could do on the AB server, not sure what, and they don't seem to care much about their customers anyway, I mean the ones in REAL despair, the ones who really need some help and can only expect it from them.

I'm keeping an eye on this. One thing is clear to me, they are wrong, no doubt about it.

Ok, you are the Senior Chief.

Is there a way to rise up the Bard Kjarthan to an lvl85 or 90 heroic char from your side and give him the Epic and some items you can say its ok for you. (You know btw can look what in Kjarthsns inventory was)
The harderst work is my job
to do the hundreds of quest and augs and faction and currency a second time.

This would be nice.. then i really had no time to lvl Bard from beginn zo 105 and i cant do the max aas he had..

Is this a way you can say its ok for you?
